Shane began his career in real estate in the San Fernando Valley.  In 1999 he moved to our wonderful community of Idyllwild to purchase the long established Hilltop Realty.  After selling Hilltop to Coldwell Banker in 2002, he continued to serve as their Office Manager.  By 2005, he was ready to own his own firm again and purchased the most successful and largest real estate company in Idyllwild, "Idyllwild Realty".

Bill has lived in Idyllwild for over 24 years and has been in real estate for the last 19 plus. I came to Idyllwild one day in 1999 to help a friend look for a full time home and I was hit by the "magic spell".  They say, "Once your heart is there your body will soon follow".  How true that is!!  I was living in Irvine at the time and made the move 1 year later.  Why?  Because Idyllwild is such a wonderful town!!  It's where someone asks you how you are and actually waits to hear the answer.  It's where you may have the sniffles and your neighbors are bringing over some homemade soup.  It's where people truly care, and you really matter.  Oh sure, I could talk about the majestic beauty of the mountain, the views, the hiking trails and much, much, more, but I believe it's the people who make it such a special place.

I am a native Californian, born and raised in Torrance Calif. many decades ago.  My introduction to Idyllwild was over 50 years ago when my parents and I purchased our first cabin.  It was a dream of mine to live here permanently. 

Like most, I had several occupations and professions prior to moving to Idyllwild.  My first venture in Idyllwild in 1975 was a restaurant, then called the Alpine Pantry, which is now the Idyllwild Café.  While owning and operating the restaurant, I obtained my real estate license.  I have now been in the real estate industry for 30 years.

Pete Capparelli has been licensed as a real estate agent since 1972.  He got his broker's license in 1982 opening up his own office in Idyllwild at that time.  In 1984 he merged with a former partner to create Capparelli & Oates Mile-High Realty.  In 1992 Pete bought out his partner and eventually changed the name of his company back to Capparelli & Associates.

Born and raised in the farm country of PA, I found my way to Idyllwild while on a climbing spree in the summer of 1977 (via Squaw Valley and LA).  

My first job in Idyllwild was waitressing at "The Cup" (now The Red Kettle) and "The Nome".  Very soon, some local friends opened my eyes to the wonderful world of construction.   I got my general contractor's license and found myself being drawn to remodeling "Old Charmers".  However, time marched on, and I learned that I needed to work smarter, not harder, and I chose to go into home inspecting and became a CREIA certified home inspector.
